10 Things Deleted From WWE History

6. Chyna

Chyna's name remains a dicey subject within the WWE Universe. She broke new ground by becoming the first women to ever hold the Intercontinental Title in 1999, and as a pioneer of intergender wrestling throughout the Attitude Era, but left WWE on a sour note in 2001, with her personal life becoming a storm of controversy soon after.

Chyna alleged that she was released as a belated consequence of her boyfriend Triple H's affair with Stephanie McMahon, as Vince took their side. She embarked upon a career as a pornographic actress in 2004, and later claimed that her life was "spiralling out of control" around this time. A very public battle with drug and alcohol addiction followed, and she was rushed to hospital with cuts on her arms in December 2008. Sadly, Chyna passed away in April 2016.

While Chyna's contributions to the Attitude Era can't be denied, WWE don't want to be associated with the controversy surrounding her name, and distanced themselves from 'The Ninth Wonder Of The World' a long time ago. They aired a short tribute video shortly after her passing, but calls for her to be inducted to the WWE Hall Of Fame may never be answered.
