10 Things You Didn't Know About WWE In 2002

7. Jamal In The Doghouse

Rosey and Jamal, who had previously competed as The Island Boys on the indies and in WWE developmental, debuted in WWE proper as Eric Bischoff's muscle, so to speak. The newly-Christened Three Minute Warning would destroy anyone whom Bischoff had deemed to be boring or not entertaining enough for him or for Raw. The WWE had high hopes for the surprisingly agile super heavyweights and they were regularly featured on Raw. Unfortunately for them, Jamal began getting a reputation as someone who was reckless after he injured Pat Patterson, Mae Young and one of the HLA 'lesbians' (wrestler Looney Lane) in the ring. Why the WWE had two huge guys attacking pensioners and trainee wrestlers on live television is anyone's guess but this was around the same time as Katie Vick so who knows what WWE creative were smoking. Regardless of the reasons why, Jamal and Rosey's number one priority should have been to protect the people they were in the ring with. They failed to do that. As a result Jamal and Rosey quickly found themselves dumped on weekend show Heat. WWE management was certainly not pleased with Three Minute Warning's over-enthusiasm. The punishment spilled over into 2003 and Jamal was booked to take a stinkface during the Rumble match (from his own brother no less). He was fired later in the year after an altercation in a nightclub with an off-duty police officer.
