10 Things You Didn't Know About Kane

2. He's A Staunch Libertarian

Outside of the ring, Kane is incredibly active in political circles. He hosted a podcast called The Tiny Political Show from 2007 to 2008 under the moniker Citizen X. He also ran a blog called The Adventures of Citizen X where he wrote in detail about his Libertarian leanings, with many articles about his dislike of the TSA. He is friends with prominent Liberterian politician Ron Paul, and has given many well-received presentations at Libertarian events, including an hour long insight in Austrian politics. It's unsurprising that a pro wrestler would ally with the Libertarian party, which advocated individual freedom, considering how much of a wrestler's life and finances is the responsibility of that individual. Kane is unique however, in being one of the very few wrestlers to have a confirmed political leaning. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hniIFhHAjAE Many people within the party see Kane as having a future career in politics, and would support him should he run for senate. Just this year, several groups affiliated with the controversial Tea Party tried to recruit Jacobs to run against Lamar Alexander in the 2014 Republican U.S. Senate primary in Tennessee.
