10 Things You Didn't Know About Sting

10. He Appeared In A Commercial For Sprite

Sting Video Game These days, wrestlers are pretty recognisable all across the world as brands, and are used to throwing their name and face behind advertising campaigns. John Cena and Fruity Pebbles are perhaps the biggest and most popular sponsorship that has crossed over onto WWE screens (thanks to The Rock); but "The Icon" is no stranger to endorsing something, too. Whoever at Coca-Cola decided in the 1990s that having one of the WCW's biggest stars advertise Sprite was either a genius or a lunatic (they say there's a fine line between the two, after all). It was a nice link-up for wrestling fans to see, but it wasn't as nice for poor Timmy, who literally had the living hell beaten out of him - whilst his parents watched on, filming the whole incident. It's pretty sadistic, but you don't get that impression when Timmy opens the door and sees Sting. €œTimmy, I€™m here from the €˜Dream Come True Fantasy Foundation€, he says. From then on, things go downhill quickly for the young buck, as Sting dismantles him inside his own home. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5ovZpscicY If that's what having a dream come true is like, then I'll keep my fantasies, hopes and aspirations to myself. Sting certainly didn't go lightly on poor Timmy - but it no doubt made everyone feel like they could sink a Sprite. Anyone else thirsty?
