10 Things You Didn't Know About WWE Diva Renee Young

7. She Hosted A Wrestling Post-Game Show In Canada

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrU5mqhbVFY From 2009 until her signing with the international sports-entertainment empire in 2012, WWE's resident backstage interviewer and pre-show worked for Canada's The Score. There, she hosted a wrestling post-game show called Right After Wrestling (later "Aftermath"). The show was co-hosted by Arda Ocal and former WWE referee Jimmy Korderas and gave fans a look at everything going on in the world of sports-entertainment. Very much a SportsCenter-like program devoted to pro wrestling, the show was a fan's dream and Renee demonstrated some of the likability, legitimate interest in the subject and engaging personality that ultimately landed her a job in WWE. More importantly, it introduced her to some of the stars in today's wrestling landscape, something she detailed in the WWE.com interview referenced earlier.
Then we started doing a SmackDown post-show as well with former WWE referee Jimmy Korderas, Arda Ocal and a few people that cycled through. It was fun. We did a live TV show twice a week, recapped everything and interviewed some of the Superstars. Getting to know some of these guys before I came to work at WWE was a big help.

Erik Beaston is a freelance pro wrestling writer who likes long walks in the park, dandelions and has not quite figured out that this introduction is not for Match.com. He resides in Parts Unknown, where he hosts weekly cookouts with Kane, The Ultimate Warrior, Papa Shango and The Boogeyman. Be jealous.
