10 Things You Don't Know About WWE In 1993

3. Mr. Perfect Won The Intercontinental Title From Shawn Michaels

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXNFBoxjTmM When WWF would tape Superstars and Wrestling Challenge, they would actually have a full card of non-televised wrestling matches beforehand. On April 5 in Phoenix, AZ, before a Wrestling Challenge taping, Mr. Perfect defeated Shawn Michaels to win the Intercontinental Title with a Perfect Plex, and left with the belt. Later in the taping, it was announced that Perfect actually won the match by DQ, because Shawn attacked the original referee, and a second referee made the pinfall. The title change and reverse decision was never acknowledged by WWF on camera. This is the second time that a title change involving Michaels was never mentioned. Back in 1990, The Rockers defeated The Hart Foundation in a 2 out of 3 falls match to win the Tag Team Titles, but the match never aired because the top rope came apart and the match was terrible and unable to be aired after the rope broke.
