10 Things Everybody Gets Wrong About Triple H's WWE

6. It's Good That WWE Is Referring To Itself As Wrestling

WWE is referring to itself as a wrestling promotion again, and this is apparently cause for celebration - as is certain wrestlers getting their forenames back.

Obviously, these are necessary developments, but should you celebrate necessary? Do you celebrate a wrestler wearing boots? Because that's effectively where we are with this: the absolute bare minimum is now something to shout about.

It must be of some consolation to Tony Khan that all he has to do, if his promotion actually does fall apart, is turn it into complete sh*t for 21 years - with the odd highlight that will always invariably get retconned - and then make it solid and less nonsensical for a couple of months. That's the key to fawning acclaim and extraordinary television ratings, it would seem.

This is more of a general point: no company has ever boasted the resources with which to create the greatest product ever known to man than WWE in 2022. These resources are eye-watering - so much so that "good to very good action that mostly makes sense, albeit the crowds aren't that hot most weeks" shouldn't be good enough.

Have standards. They should be met by a company with that much money.
