10 Things Everybody Gets Wrong About Triple H's WWE
4. Nothing Has Changed
And now to cover those with a negative perception of WWE - and how they are getting it wrong.
It's easy to say that the only thing that Triple H has done is subtract some stupidity and use that time to make matches around five minutes longer than they realistically need to be.
This isn't quite true.
He has developed an intriguing new device that subverts a lot of complaints directed at the product for decades. It's small, but appreciated; every now and then, in the background of a segment, Triple H places an easter egg hinting at a storyline direction or capturing a candid moment between performers. The idea is to make it seem like these characters are more believable by virtue of having interior lives that don't just exist in front of the camera for the convenience of the narrative.
Triple H has reinforced the importance of midcard titles by tasking his incredible video production department with celebrating their illustrious history. Much as it's not something to celebrate - more the way it always should have been - the product does feel more loose, and less like everybody but the select few are sh*tting themselves.
But does that mean WWE is good now...?
