10 Things Everyone Wants To See In WWE Before The End Of 2020
7. Wade Barrett Returns To The Ring
Wade Barrett's had a funny old career. Once one of WWE's hot new prospects, the former Nexus leader has floated around the independent scene for years, often acting as a commentator or General Manager. Then, out of the blue, he showed up in NXT with little to no fanfare, immediately sparking speculation as to the real reason why he was there.
It has since been revealed that Barrett, real name Stu Bennett, had signed a one year deal with the company he left in 2016, but as far as Bennett would let on, this was solely to work behind the commentary desk with no in-ring return on the cards. Immediately the rumours began to circulate that old 'Bad News' was destined to step back in a WWE ring as an active competitor, and that his stint in NXT was only temporary, but this was merely speculation.
However, how awesome would it be to see him get more and more involved as the weeks progress? He doesn't even have to work outside of NXT if he doesn't want to. He could easily transition from voiceover work to in-ring action helping the newer talents get over, while they get time to work with the man who was once a HUGE thorn in the side of John Cena.
