10 Things Fan Should Expect From Goldberg's Last WWE Run

1. A Passing Of The Torch

Doing the honors on the way out is one thing, but passing the torch is an entirely different animal. Goldberg is likely to do both in his last WWE match.

Whether his last match takes place at WrestleMania 33 or not, the end is near. Whenever he does decide to hang up his boots, he would be doing the industry that helped make him into a pop-culture star a huge favor by passing the torch.

Hogan passed the torch to Warrior at WrestleMania VI, Michaels passed the torch to Austin a WrestleMania XIV, The Rock passed the torch to Cena at WrestleMania XXIX, and some might say Hogan even passed the torch to Goldberg at the Georgia Dome on July 6th, 1998. If and when Goldberg calls it a career it will be his time to pay it forward.

Passing the torch and helping to make a star of today become an even bigger star of tomorrow is something Goldberg should look to do in his final match. After the incredible career he's had, defying the odds just based on his WCW and WWE booking despite no political ties, he has the chance to help create a huge star by suffering a clean, convincing defeat to a talent on the rise.

It's almost overdue at this point, but before it's all said and done, fans should hope for, and expect, Goldberg to pass the torch.
