10 Things Happening In WWE Right Now You Wouldn't Have Believed 12 Months Ago

7. Enzo Amore - Cruiserweight Champion

When the Cruiserweight Championship was revived on Raw, WWE seemingly put a lot of effort into presenting the division as fresh and unique from the main product. With bespoke lighting, ring design and coloured ropes, the Cruiserweights came off more like a sideshow attraction rather than a hot, new act on the card.

12 months later, that division has slowly become more integrated into the overall product - primarily due to the inclusion of grapplers from the main roster (such as Neville and Austin Aries). The most prolific star to make the transition is Enzo Amore.

Arguably the least ring savvy of the bunch, Amore has taken over the division in short order. Beating long-standing champion and self-professed 'King of the Cruiserweights', Neville, Enzo walked right into the top spot of the division almost purely on mic work alone - much to the chagrin of his peers.

Enzo's debut on 205 Live may have been met with mixed reactions but at least it's a reaction of some description. The struggling brand needed a spark and Enzo's title victory has certainly proved to be just that.
