10 Things It Turns Out CM Punk Was Right To Say About WWE

2. Vince McMahon Is Petty As Hell

So, for those who are unaware, pro wrestling championships are props that are best used to advance storylines and reward those who can be positioned with championships to draw a company money. There's no actual correlation to having a championship and being a great wrestler, unless the promotion using said championship as a promotional device wants to push actual wrestling as a drawing card. All that being said, the idea that (for whatever reason you want to believe) Nikki Bella is still the WWE Women's Champion is absolute horsesh*t. Actually, no. Believe that (moreso than any other reason) Nikki Bella eclipsing the 295-day reign of CM Punk's wife AJ Lee was the best reason for Nikki Bella to continue her reign. CM Punk and AJ Lee likely earned upwards of $50 million from WWE, then due to very real gripes that everyone has had with WWE but nobody has ever acted upon similarly, quit. As well, upon quitting, their lives haven't fallen apart in a way that proves that pro wrestling ultimately kept them sane and hinged as human beings. These are things that likely cause Vince McMahon CONSIDERABLE grief. Thus, erasing AJ Lee's name from the history books? Probably before John Cena could raise a hand in concern about Charlotte winning the Divas Championship on Monday, Vince was already in agreement -- but for an entirely different reason altogether.
