10 Things John Cena Haters Should Stop Complaining About

10. Merchandising

It would be naive to suggest that merchandising isn't a big reason for John Cena's consistent presence at the top of WWE. Simply put, he moves far more merchandising than any other superstar on the roster. A report in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter earlier this year showed that Cena sells the most merchandise in arenas and was second only to the recently deceased Ultimate Warrior on the WWE Shop website. Cena's neon attire is a hit with young fans, who can regularly be seen decked out in threads proclaiming the star's mantras - "Never Give Up" and "Hustle, Loyalty and Respect". With that in mind, it's obvious why he is repeatedly dressed in various brightly coloured outfits. Cena does not deserve the ire that is directed at him for something as irrelevant as the outfit he wears on the way to the ring. At the end of the day, WWE superstars are brands, there to be sold to an audience. Unfortunate as it is for older WWE fans who prefer edgier characters, the WWE Universe is filled with youngsters and Cena is catnip for them.
