10 Things Learned From Bruce Prichard's Something To Wrestle With Podcast On Owen Hart

5. Owen Hart Wrestled For WCW

Whilst many may not be surprised to learn that Owen Hart wrestled for WCW, what might cause shock is the number of televised matches the youngest Hart child wrestled during his time in Atlanta.

For the pro-wrestling historians out there, you probably know that the Blue Blazer was unmasked after a 1991 loss against Canek in Japan. The same year, a mask-less Owen Hart showed up in WCW and competed in five televised matches. One of these matches featured Owen tagging with recent WWE Hall Of Fame inductee, Ricky Morton, and another saw Owen team with future Hart Foundation cohort, Brian Pillman.

Judging by WCW's use of Owen Hart in early 1991, which included victories over WCW Tag Team Champions The Freebirds, Hart would've likely seen a decent push had he stayed with WCW. As we know, Owen made the jump back to the World Wrestling Federation later that year and Vince McMahon finally presented Owen Hart without a mask and cape.
