6. Damien Sandow Wins The Intercontinental Championship
For the past several weeks, Damien Sandow has been acting like a clown. He's having an identity crisis of epic proportions and has become everyone from Magneto to Abraham Lincoln to even Vince McMahon himself. And the biggest question besides why he's doing all of this is why did someone in WWE creative think it was a good idea to begin with? But there is a chance for the company to make it right. And while a championship win may not be a miracle cure for Sandow's ailing career, it could be a step in the right direction. Damien needs this one. He needs something to do besides what he's been doing, which is a lot of nothing. The fact is that the costumes, the characters, all of this was done years ago for The Big Show and it did not help him very much at the time either. But when Show came out of the storyline, he did have a new respect from fans that were likely very relieved he did not have to go through it all anymore. Will that happen now for Damien Sandow? Damien has been in this mode for a while now and at this point fans either hate it or they love it. They recognize that Sandow is putting in the effort to get over but they also know that it needs to take him somewhere. Otherwise, what has it all been for? The answer to that question could very well lie at Battleground, where Sandow will be competing with a ring full of Superstars to win the Intercontinental Championship. And while there are some potential winners in the mix including Bo Dallas, the fact is that this is something that could get Damien back on the right track. He may be a man without an identity right now but if he goes over at Battleground, then he will take on a new role and be called another name from that point on; champion.
