10. Ambrose Grew Up In A Tough Neighbourhood In Cincinnati
Dean Ambrose was born Jonathan Good in Cincinnati, Ohio in December of 1985. Growing up on the east side of Cincinnati was not easy for Jon due to living in a neighborhood full of crime, drugs, and violence. He essentially had to grow up on his own, and in his documentary, Jon described wrestling as There was nothing else. There was the crappy real world, and the awesome world of wrestling which was so much better. Wrestling would be his escape and also a deterrent from joining or succumbing to the rough world around him. He would rent old wrestling VHS tapes and took to becoming a fan of Bret "The Hitman" Hart immediately; however, it was ECW that would connect with Good on a deeper level because it was as violent and chaotic as his real life surroundings. On his bio at Dean-Ambrose.net, it states that he was so addicted to watching ECW, he would take the television set out to the edge of the fire escape to get the best reception.
