7. Ambrose Won His First Title Less Than A Year In With HWA
It was clear from the beginning that Moxley had a drive and a desire for pro wrestling that would only lead to success if he continued to put his mind into it. He would start off in HWA in a tag team called Necessary Roughness with a man named Jimmy Turner. They were off to an instant success feuding with many tag teams throughout late 2004 and early 2005, including a team that featured Nigel McGuinness. Moxley and Turner would capture the HWA Tag Team Championship, giving Moxley his first piece of gold after only 11 months on the job. Over the course of his career in HWA, Ambrose would hold the tag titles on five different occasions, but it was at the end of 2006 where he would be the HWA Heavyweight Champion for the first time. Moxley would go on to hold the top belt two other times from his work there between 2004 and 2010.
