8. There Is Creative Complacency

In addition to the WWE having an ageing fan base is the fact that they have failed to connect with the audience they do have. Think about it: if there was a show you liked, would you keep it to yourself? Or would you share it with friends and family so everyone could enjoy it together? There is little reason to watch the show live or stick around for that 3rd hour of RAW because the shows have become stale. WWE should be creating must see TV which fans want to watch live; instead, shows have become DVR fast forward material.

At times, I am embarrassed to be a fan of some of the garbage on my screen. I love WWE, but what the hell is sparkle crotch? And why is Roman Reigns saying "sufferin' succotash"? We know that wrestling is cheesy, but where is the creative behind this nonsense? New fans will soon see that the creative direction is written by Hollywood writers and OKd by a 71 year old man who doesn't pay attention to anything outside of his WWE bubble. The shows are all the same. Every week, the same old shtick and segments ad nauseum.

It seems as though WWE doesn't care. We know they do, and we know the talent works hard, but they have forgotten what made them great in the first place: spontaneity. The shows are dull, boring, and predictable. Not the best way to showcase 10 hours or more each week.
