It isn’t surprising that The Young Bucks completely divide popular opinion. The Jackson brothers are the biggest tag team on the planet right now, but their schtick certainly isn’t for everyone. Their spot-heavy style of wrestling and incredible ability to merchandise anything and everything inspires just as much hate as it does passionate adoration.

The opening match of the main show once again proved that Matt and Nick are fantastic professional wrestlers. The IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship match was high on story and low on nonsense, with consummate selling and expert psychology thrown into the mix. In short, it was exactly what it needed to be.

The Bucks defeated Roppongi 3K to pick up the belts for the seventh time, handing SHO and YOH their first loss since returning from excursion. This sets up a great chase for the first half of the year, and likely sees The Bucks walk into NJ’s US shows as title holders.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
