10 Things Nobody Wants To Admit About WWE Super ShowDown 2020

3. The 'Fiend' Died Long Before This

Accusations that Goldberg's win has killed Bray's 'Fiend' are preposterous.

They also show up some for having short memories. People were saying exactly the same sorts of things when Wyatt worked that controversial Hell In A Cell match with Seth Rollins last October. To willingly put that to one side and conveniently forget the negative impact it had on Bray just to rag on Goldberg is silly.

WWE were dropping the ball with the 'Fiend' long before Goldberg waltzed back into the company sphere. The character didn't need to be involved in a title feud at all, certainly didn't need to win one, and he's been over-exposed since doing so. Wyatt has become a more frequent crutch for the writing time on SmackDown every week too.

The initial buzz that accompanied Bray's repackage job faded a few months into his run. His problem is the same one many horror movies face; once you've seen the monster and he/she has had significant screen time, the threat lessens with each passing scene.
