AJ Styles was one of the few workers who received a big pop from the live crowd in Riyadh, and deservedly so. His matches are always top quality, he's blossomed on the mic as a delusional heel and people really do respect his journey through the wrestling biz from indy darling to WWE veteran. Now, AJ has seemingly bagged himself a big 'Mania payday against The Undertaker.

Hmm.

As good as AJ is, he's not going to pull 'Taker back to 2007-2008 when he was lighting up rings alongside Edge, Batista and others. 2020's version is a much more limited, immobile 'Deadman', and that probably won't suit Styles' fast-paced work. He might've been better-served returning to the babyface side for a match with Andrade or someone like that.

A WrestleMania slot with 'Taker is nothing to be sniffed at, but some seem to be expecting miracles and that AJ will bring out the best in him. Don't get your hopes up on some 20-minute epic. Styles vs. The Undertaker is more likely to be a five-minute squash than anything else.
