It'd be foolish then to whinge about Ricochet and Cedric Alexander.

The tag tanks require depth, and they tick some boxes. Both are babyface high-flyers, both are underrated performers amongst WWE management and both struggle on the microphone. In essence then, turning them into this generation's Brian Kendrick and Paul London wouldn't be a bad thing.

Alexander and Ricochet both got pushes (to varying degrees) in 2019, but WWE has gone sour on them and has nothing for either man individually. That, being honest, is the only reason why they've been shunted together in 2020. Fans should expect more of this sort of thing over the next few months.

WWE's over-abundance of talent makes it difficult for most to stand out. It says everything about how things are run that previous SmackDown afterthought Apollo Crews was given nearly 30 minutes of air time on Monday, whereas prior hopefuls like Cedric and Rico have become yet another sudden pairing.
