10 Things Post-WrestleMania 36 Raw Told Us About WWE’s Future

8. This Could Be Liv Morgan's Year

Liv Morgan can be proud of her efforts over WrestleMania weekend. She looked great in stature-boosting performances against Natalya (on the night one pre-show) and Asuka. The Raw match, in particular, was notable because Liv elevated herself even though she lost.

That's a positive sign.

WWE has totally moved on from any thought of booking her as Lana's lover. That angle has been scrapped in favour of depicting Morgan as a scrappy babyface who gives it her all every single time she enters the ring. Anyone who fretted over how the writers would handle a same-sex love interest angle should breathe a sigh of relief there.

If Liv keeps putting in the performances she has been, then it's only a matter of time before she's in the Raw Women's Title mix. She's not quite there yet, but the signs are good, and there's no shame in having Morgan quietly purr in the background until she is ready.
