10 Things Ric Flair Wants You To Forget About TNA

7. Fortune

ric flair tna3 Every so often in wrestling, people say things that make sense at the time, but in retrospect they wish they hadn't. One of the big ideas TNA had for Ric Flair was to have him feature as the mouthpiece for a faction designed to eerily resemble the Four Horsemen. Flair had been an integral part of the legendary faction, so the basic idea was that his magic would rub off on a new generation. First coming together in the Summer of 2010, this new group was named 'Fortune'. Initially, they were actually entitled 'Fortune Four', but that was phased out as more members joined. Flair, pretty much fulfilling a similar role to the one J.J Dillon had years prior in the Horsemen, said time and time again that the stable were destined for greatness. Members included the likes of AJ Styles, Bobby Roode, James Storm and Desmond Wolfe. Before long, men such as Matt Morgan and even Doug Williams had joined, as things started to get watered down sufficiently. Even though the group would kick around the company until late-2011, things never really got going, and Flair must want fans to forget that he ever compared the collective to the iconic Four Horsemen.
