9. His Gimmick
The 1990 edition of The Survivor Series brought the debut of one of WWE's most famous, and memorable characters in wrestling history. No, not the Gobbledegooker, but The Undertaker. Showing up as the mystery partner of The Million Dollar Man, The Undertaker was a near 7 foot Undead Zombie Giant, with electrifying agility, and an it factor that not only radiated throughout the Hartford Civic Center, but all over the world. It was also absolutely absurd.
Conversely, not only was The Undertaker gimmick able to get over, it was able to transcend into being the greatest character in the history of the business. Still, one would imagine what Taker thought when this gimmick was presented to him.
As the years passed, Taker was able to morph into different spectrums of the gimmick. At one time being a traditional western mortician/zombie, to being The Lord Of Darkness, then a satanic like character, and finally a supernatural being. Austin will surely ask him about what made him make subtle, and sometimes jarring changes to the character and how he was able to make it last so long, when gimmicks of that era usually didn't make it longer than 2/3 years.
