10 Things Stone Cold Must Ask The Undertaker On WWE Network Podcast
6. Hell In A Cell VS Mankind
We've all seen the match, we've all heard the Jim Ross calls, but one person we haven't heard from is the guy who inflicted most of the punishment in that contest, The Undertaker. At King of The Ring '98, The Undertaker and Mankind permanently raised the bar on violence, and stunts in professional wrestling to it's most dangerous level.
In his most basic form, Mick Foley was The King Of Hardcore. Foley spent many years traveling the globe having death matches with Terry Funk, Vader, and whoever else dared to step in his path. However, when he walked into WWE in 1996, he made an enemy of the WRONG (dead) guy.
When the time came for Hell in a Cell in 1998, The Undertaker seemed to have remembered all the misery Mankind had brought him over the previous two years, and to say Taker gave Mankind the beating of a lifetime is probably an understatement.
Nevertheless, what Austin must ask Taker is, what on earth went into the planning of this match, and what was in his mind, as Foley took two insane falls that may have killed a normal man. As much as Foley was immortalized in defeat, we never really think about how it felt from The Undertaker's side. Was he afraid? Did he feel it was too far?
