10 Things Surprisingly Shorter Than WWE WrestleMania 33
4. Ascending And Descending Kilimanjaro
On August 13 2014, Karl Egloff both climbed Kilimanjaro and came back down in 6 hours, 42 minutes and 24 seconds. That meant he could have climbed the highest mountain in Africa, checked out the Wi-Fi situation, then came down to still catch the result of The Undertaker Vs. Roman Reigns.
Karl was the son of a Swiss mountain climber Charly Egloff, who brought up his son in the discipline of mountain expedition. By the time Karl was 15 years of age, he scaled mountains 5,000 meters in size more than 250 times.
In 2014, aged 33 years old, the now-veteran mountain climber scaled the 5,895 meter tall Kilimanjaro, breaking the previous record set four years earlier by Spanish runner Killian Jornet at seven hours and 14 minutes. This feat is again not one of those that can be accomplished by any novice, as it usually takes between five and nine days to reach the summit.
However, Egloff is no mortal man, as he in fact reached the summit three times in just eights days. It usually takes those who climb Kilimanjaro a month to recover from the elevation change and physical exertion, making this feat even more impressive. The trip he embarked on two days earlier saw him propose to his girlfriend Adriana Velasco at the summit, making John Cena’s proposal after pinning The Miz look a little less impressive in comparison.
After accomplishing all this, we're sure the stress of wedding planning was a walk in the park.
