"The Blade! The Blade emerging from underneath the ring, and he has blindsided Cody and taken him out. And the Butcher! The Butcher not far behind, emerging. The Butcher and the Blade are looking to sell chaos here! We've not seen them before. The Butcher and the Blade have made their presence known in AEW at the expense of Cody. Oh, oh now we know who brought them here - it's the Bunny! It's the Butcher, the Blade and the Bunny!"

Uhu...

Speaking of ropey AEW debuts, the Butcher and the Blade managed to have an even less impactful arrival than the aforementioned Dark Order.

Taking place on the 27 November 2019 episode of AEW Dynamite, this tag tandem emerged through the ring to attack Cody Rhodes following the American Nightmare's submission victory over Matt Knicks. Already signed to AEW at that point, Allie would shortly appear at the Butcher and Blade's side, with her now going by the moniker of the Bunny.

The diatribe at the top of this entry is what Excalibur excitedly spouted upon seen this trio target Cody - all while a puzzled Jim Ross kept interrupting to question who the f**k these people were and how the f**k Excalibur had this information.

Those in attendance had zero idea who the Butcher and the Blade were, and again the "Who are you?" chants started up as poor Braxton Sutter and Andy Williams did their best to appear menacing as they beat down Rhodes. Sure, they had a badass look to them, but the handling of the debut of the Butcher and the Blade felt almost comical, and it also handed plentiful fuel to those naysayers who were looking to throw shade at Tony Khan's upstart promotion.
