Cody Rhodes (well, just Cody) will make his NJPW debut at Wrestle Kingdom 11, the newest member of Bullet Club taking on Juice Robinson in a special showcase singles match. Of all the matches on the card Cody winning seems like the biggest guarantee, as it is unthinkable that he would lose his debut. Juice is as good as they come at looking great in defeat too.

More important than the result will be Cody's performance. Whilst he has been more than competent since leaving WWE, he is yet to have that standout performance that will justify the claims of many that he is a huge star in waiting. Cody has it easy starting out against former NXT talent Juice, but he won't find it as comfortable working men like Tomoaki Honma, Togi Makabe and Ishii in future.

Cody Rhodes will defeat Juice Robinson, but he must put in extra effort in order to win over the Japanese crowd. The video package announcing his arrival was met with crickets, so there is plenty of work to be done.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
