10 Things That Must Happen At WWE Clash Of Champions 2017

2. Owens And Zayn Must Win

Nobody ever loses their job because of losing a match in WWE. Much like illegitimate son angles, such storylines are no longer worth putting together in professional wrestling. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are fighting for their jobs on Sunday night, and not a single person watching believes that to be true.

It is all rather galling. On SmackDown this past Tuesday, Daniel Bryan said that Owens and Zayn needed to prove that they ‘belong’ there. Really? Has Mike Kanellis done anything to prove that? How about Viktor? The bloody Singh Brothers?

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn absolutely must win on Sunday night. Whether this happens in a clean manner (unlikely) or via the inevitable argument between Shane and Daniel Bryan is irrelevant. What matters is the two Canadians keeping their jobs, and moving forward in their quest to take over the blue show.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
