10 Things That Must Happen At WWE Clash Of Champions 2017

7. A Glorious Champion

Bobby Roode Dolph Ziggler

With that in mind, Bobby Roode needs to come out of Clash of Champions with the United States Championship around his waist. Baron Corbin simply isn’t ready for the spot he finds himself in, and the title that AJ Styles and Kevin Owens fought over during the summer is suffering as a result. There is no way The Lone Wolf should currently be a champion in WWE.

Roode and Ziggler are more than capable of holding the national title, however. Of the two, Roode is the obvious choice to get the win. Dolph is an immensely talented competitor, but you can count on one hand the number of fans interested in seeing yet another Ziggler secondary title reign. Roode is still fairly fresh on the scene, and the US Championship represents the next step on his climb up the card.

A Bobby Roode US Championship reign is a lot more inviting than continuing along the Baron Corbin track. Roode will likely turn heel in 2018, and doing so with the title around his waist could work wonders for the famous belt. This isn’t 100% necessary, but moving the strap undoubtedly puts SmackDown’s midcard in a healthier position.
