10 Things That Must Happen At WWE Payback 2016
4. Kevin Owens Cheats To Beat Sami Zayn
The video package aired to hype Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn on Monday Night Raw was beautiful stuff. Thankfully, WWE have taken their time with this match. Some believed it should have taken place at WrestleMania, but the company wanted to get as many people onto the main card as they could, hence the Ladder Match.
Since then, things have reignited between Zayn and Owens. It's been great to see the former look like he belongs for good on the main roster, rather than being portrayed as a spunky underdog punching way above his weight. The situation is ripe for Owens to show how much of a scumbag he is.
Owens is a heel, and it's therefore alright for him to cheat. Fans dig him, but he's a definite villain who will take any shortcut in order to get ahead. At Payback, that's exactly how things should play out. In the midst of an awesome back-and-forth battle, Owens could use a low blow or another simple heel move to gain the upper hand.
Afterwards, Zayn then has reason for a rematch, and fans win by seeing the pair go at it again.
