8. Asuka Gets Called-Up

Now that Shinsuke Nakamura has joined the main roster, Asuka has become NXT’s most overdue call-up. The longest reigning NXT Women’s Champion of all-time, Asuka is just a few matches away from breaking Goldberg’s legendary 173-match undefeated streak. She was forced to resort to cheating to defeat Ember Moon at TakeOver: Orlando, however, and this is a strong suggestion that Asuka’s development run is coming to an end.

She’ll have to shed the Women's Title before making the jump, but that shouldn’t be a problem, as the next TakeOver event is little over a month away. From there, Asuka can join Raw or SmackDown and continue down the road she has travelled at Full Sail University by defeating anyone foolish enough to challenge her, and establishing herself as one of the world’s most dominant wrestlers.

There’s no need to keep Asuka in NXT once she loses the belt, and she’d be an immediate major player upon hitting the main roster. WWE could theoretically drop her into a Raw or SD title program tomorrow if they wanted to, and if they don’t bring Asuka up within the next few months, it’ll be a gross misuse of a major talent.
