10 Things That Must Happen Before WrestleMania 34

7. Finn Balor Gets His Belt Back

Finally back on television following a gruelling seven-month absence, Finn Balor teamed with Seth Rollins to defeat Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens on this week’s Raw. The match provided little indication of WWE’s plans for the Irishman, but he was clearly being built as Raw’s top babyface pre-injury, and we can likely expect a similar push now he’s back.

Balor became Universal Champion less than a month after making his main roster debut, but was forced to vacate the belt the next evening. He was never defeated for the gold, and after returning to Raw, Finn deserves a shot at redemption. His name should be one of the first on WWE’s list when it comes to forthcoming title shots, and if he doesn’t get the belt back within the next 12 months, it’ll be a huge disappointment.

Brock Lesnar looks set to defend his belt against one of Seth Rollins, Braun Strowman, and Roman Reigns in the interim. After that, it’d make great sense to throw Balor into a position he never should have left in the first place. He deserves the opportunity to reclaim his podium place, and become WWE’s focal point once again.
