A few years ago, you'd have been laughed out of the room for suggesting that CM Punk vs. Steve Austin was a realistic proposition. After all, 'Stone Cold' had made it clear on numerous occasions that he wouldn't be wrestling again, and Punk had landed on AEW TV anyway.

That match has arguably never been more likely.

Austin returned to the ring at 'Mania 38 to brawl with Kevin Owens, and there's every chance he'd be creatively excited about the thought of matching up against Punk in 2024. Someone should whisper that in Steve's ear, then watch him hit the weights hard in preparation for a mega-match.

It's one Punk would want too. He's made no secret of his admiration for the 'Stone Cold' character in the past, and there's no way CM would scoff at the thought of finally scratching this itch. Over to you, Triple H. SummerSlam meet up, lads? Never say never.
