3 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (Nov 25 - Results & Review)

Forget CM Punk's WWE Return, because AEW has Ric Flair's energy drink to sell you!

The above image means little in isolation, but everything when put into context.

A little over two years ago, CM Punk cut an emotional figure as he returned to pro wrestling via AEW Rampage. On Saturday night, CM Punk cut an emotional figure as he returned to pro wrestling via WWE at Survivor Series: WarGames. Meanwhile, Tony Khan shilled Ric Flair's new energy drink on his TV.

That's a stark contrast, and not a pleasing one for All Elite hardcores. Rampage has gone through the wringer (and downhill) since Punk took his company bow, but framing the show around Ric's new brew on the same night CM Punk re-debuted for WWE is something else.

What was Rampage like other than that though? Well, as usual, the roster delivered in-ring. They've grown accustomed to battling against baffling formatting, and that's something TK really has to have a right good think about heading into the new year. What does he want Rampage to be?

The show was moved from it's usual Friday night slot to double up with Collision in a three hour block against WWE's PLE. Here's all the good and bad from a 'C' show that badly needs some direction.
