10 Things That Must Happen In NXT In 2018

2. Put The NXT Championship On Adam Cole

This is absolutely going to happen sooner or later, right? Ever since he arrived on the scene at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn and put an abrupt end to Drew McIntyre’s championship celebration, Adam Cole has been on a collision course with title glory. The only surprising thing is that it still hasn’t happened.

It seems like the safest bet in professional wrestling right now. Nothing in life is guaranteed, but if Adam Cole doesn’t rise to the top of the NXT mountain in 2018 it will be a huge shock. The man desperately needs a convincing finishing move, but his presence and character alone seem to ensure success.

Andrade Almas is currently in possession of the NXT Championship, so one assumes that a babyface will have to step up in order to transition the title onto Cole. It won’t be a surprise in the slightest to see The Panama City Playboy standing tall with the big X in New Orleans though, before going on to represent the brand throughout the rest of 2018.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
