One of the most popular rumors heading into the Royal Rumble was that two-time NXT Champion Samoa Joe was going to debut in the match and have a great showing - maybe even win the bout. Ultimately, though, the big surprise at #30 was Roman Reigns, and Joe was nowhere to be seen.

Given how absent Joe has been from NXT TV lately, he really should come to the main roster soon - and given how weak the WrestleMania card is shaping up to be, Joe could be hugely instrumental in adding a classic bout to the show. Personally, I'm still hoping to see him take on John Cena on April 2.

For that to happen, Joe is going to have to show up on Smackdown sooner rather than later. One option can be that he debuts at Elimination Chamber, somehow working his way into the cage in the main event and attacking Cena, costing him the WWE Championship. Either way, though, WrestleMania needs Samoa Joe.
