8. Shelton And Gable Win The Tag Titles
Shelton and Gable really have something together. They are both insanely good in the ring, immensely popular, and they seem destined to win the tag titles after a long feud with the Usos.
However, the situation is more urgent than many realise. It's so easy to get lost in the shuffle in the tag division: just ask Enzo and Cass. They were at the height of popularity over on Raw in 2016, but never got to win the belts. They were lost in the shuffle due to the arrival of The Hardy Boyz, and the new team of Sheamus and Cesaro.
The same could easily happen to Shelton and Gable, should an NXT team pop up and ruin their chances. If they’re going to win the belts, it has to be this year, before the annual post 'Mania call-ups happen.
Think about Rhyno and Slater: how disappointing would it have been if they never got to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championships? Shelton and Gable must follow the path of Rhyno and Slater and win the titles, before they find themselves out of favour backstage.
