With Raw being three hours long these days, there is always going to be room for a few promo segments to fill the time. Sometimes, it involves just one person, but on other occasions, there is a duelling promo taking place between two wrestlers (and sometimes, only the sound guy knew that the second person was in the building). Now, I appreciate that, when you’re surrounded by thousands of screaming wrestling fans, it can be a bit difficult to hear what someone is saying. I mean, we’ve all had to get in close and shout if we’ve tried to talk to someone in a nightclub, right? However, wrestlers seem to be unable to hear one another unless they’re being spoken to through a microphone and speaker system.

You think that’s bad? What about when a heel seems to be blissfully unaware of the massive pop that a babyface receives when he’s making a run in to save a fellow babyface in peril? The heel never, ever turns around or reacts to the crowd. They never wonder what has caused the crowd to suddenly start cheering, and are taken by surprise when the babyface appears. There’s only one logical conclusion that we can draw: it’s clear that ALL wrestlers have absolutely terrible hearing.
