8. Timothy Thatcher Bouncing Back From His Recent Losses
Timothy Thatcher is one of the best things about NXT right now. His style is distinctive, his facial expressions are sensational, and his intensity in the ring is unmatched. He should be one of the top stars on the NXT roster and seemed to be climbing up the NXT rankings after his fantastic Fight Pit match with Matt Riddle.
However, he's been on the receiving end of two losses in a row, particularly a submission loss to the dastardly Dexter Lumis on television, which has halted his momentum a little. Despite the potential of a victory over Finn Bálor at TakeOver XXX, with several moments when it seemed inevitable, he ended up taking the pin to the Prince and now has no real direction going forward.
He could remain in feuds outside of the title scene with men like KUSHIDA or Roderick Strong, or pivot for a title where he would be a worthy challenger for Damian Priest. However, the prospect of Thatcher versus NXT champion Karrion Kross is too tantalising to pass up, especially if it's under a submission stipulation. He's one of the best workers in the company and no matter what he's given, he'll make it work. Hopefully NXT creative has faith in him.
