9 Things That Should Have Happened On WCW’s Final Nitro

4. Eric Bischoff Leads WCW Invasion To WWF Raw

The simulcast portion of Raw and Nitro that saw Vince McMahon tearing several stars a new one was ripe for some 'Invasion' goodness. It's fantasy to discuss it, but imagine the drama had Eric Bischoff led a number of top WCW stars into the ring on Raw to confront McMahon. The wrestling world would have promptly blown up.

Bischoff didn't even show face at Nitro, and that could have been talked about by the announcers. Throwing viewers off the scent, 'Easy E' would then have led the likes of Diamond Dallas Page, Buff Bagwell and others onto the WWF set. The atmosphere would have been entirely electric, and things would have been even better if the WCW crew then quickly dispatched Vince and sent him careening to the mat.

Eric Bischoff was a much more credible owner of WCW than Shane McMahon could ever hope to be, this was the kind of rivalry wrestling fans wanted to see. If there were assurances that the WCW brand would be protected (at least up until the WWF inevitably won the eventual war), maybe Bischoff would have been interested in doing business.
