9 Things That Should Have Happened On WCW’s Final Nitro

5. DDP Signs Up With Bischoff's New WCW

God bless Diamond Dallas Page, he loved wrestling and performing so much that he was willing to take a cut in money to sign up with the WWF. Things wouldn't turn out great for DDP under the employ of Vince McMahon, an awful stalker gimmick kickstarted a woefully one-sided feud with The Undertaker in the Summer of 2001.

A popular name like DDP should have been treated with more respect. One alternative way to ensure he would enter the WWF with a bang (pun intended) would have been to have him expand upon his promo on the show. A pre-tape showed Page thanking fans for helping him become a genuine headliner, but - much like a package exploring the history of WCW - it was dreadfully short.

Appearing in front of the fans would have been better. If that wasn't possible, having DDP commit himself to whatever the WWF had in store for WCW would have rallied support amongst a loyal fan base. Better yet, Page could have hinted that he didn't answer to the McMahon family, he answered to the man who really called the shots in World Championship Wrestling, Eric Bischoff.
