10 Things That Will Happen If Jeff Hardy Returns To WWE
10. Surprise Royal Rumble Entrant
Right off the bat, one immediate suggestion would be that Jeff could be a surprise inclusion in the 2016 Royal Rumble match. The last time the 'Charismatic Enigma' was seen at the annual January spectacular was in 2009. On that show, Hardy lost the WWE Title to Edge, after Matt Hardy turned on him with a steel chair. In terms of actual Rumble match participation, Jeff hasn't been involved since 2007. Ironically, it was Edge who eliminated him from that bout. In '07, Hardy lasted less than 4 minutes in the match, so he's really ripe for a good showing on that stage. The Rumble in early 2016 could be the ideal launching point for a WWE return. Of course, there are reports that Jeff's contract with TNA doesn't run out until February, 2016, which would put a hitch on any Rumble appearance. However, TNA haven't always show themselves to be the most restrictive when it comes to talent dealing with WWE. The Ric Flair/WWE Hall Of Fame ordeal from several years ago proves that. There's a chance Hardy could negotiate a release from TNA, should he want to.
