5. A Title Reign Would Happen Even If It's Brief
To date, Jeff Hardy has won the WWE Title once, and the old World Heavyweight Championship twice. When the former belt was placed around his waist at Armageddon 2008, it felt like a watershed moment. Hardy helped construct a brilliant main event opposite Triple H and Edge, and it felt like he had truly arrived in the top line scene. Fan response had indicated this for years, but everything came together by the end of 2008. Due to his brilliant performances over the years, fans still see Jeff as a main event level player. Even in TNA, he has been a focal point. Of course, WWE are unlikely to labour over that particular run (more on that later), but the fact remains that Jeff is perceived as a major star. Upon a return to WWE, it'd be logical to assume that perception would continue to remain intact. Therefore, it's not entirely outside the realms of possibility that Jeff Hardy could become WWE World Heavyweight Champion. As aforementioned, feuds against the likes of Seth Rollins would seem to be too great an opportunity to pass up. If WWE do go down this route, there's no reason why Jeff couldn't have even a short run with the top title.
