10 Things That Will Happen In NXT Before 2021

5. Johnny Gargano Leaves NXT

In the above picture, Johnny Gargano wears a shirt that brandishes the slogan "NXT 4 Life". But are you really Johnny?

Gargano has been the heart and soul in NXT for quite some time now; you only have to listen to Mauro Ranallo mention it every five minutes for proof. The spiritual successor of Sami Zayn has claimed many times that he isn't going anywhere and that the yellow brand will forever be his home. Except, in hindsight, he isn't really the one in charge of that is he? Vince McMahon gets what Vince McMahon wants. So if he wants Gargano on Raw or SmackDown, it will happen sooner, rather than later.

There are many directions that Gargano could go at this point. He could continue to explore this new heel side of his and see if it translates well to the main roster audience, or perhaps return to the beloved babyface figure and fill the roll of someone like Daniel Bryan, who is rumoured to be transitioning into a part time roll at the end of the year. Gargano has even recently cropped up as one of the many rumoured talents to be behind the mysterious truth teller gimmick over on SmackDown, so maybe that is the path he follows.

Either way, by 2021, Gargano will have left NXT, potentially after one final TakeOver match to say his goodbyes.
