10 Things That Will Happen In NXT Before 2021
4. A New Stable Debuts
Let's be real, the Undisputed Era, realistically, should not be in NXT six months down the track. They've done everything, it is time to move on. Without the Undisputed Era at the forefront of NXT every week, the programming will have a giant hole left in their place. That's where a new stable comes in.
In the past few months, we have seen stars Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza be kidnapped by mysterious, masked luchadors. This is reportedly due to the pair being repackaged as henchmen, behind a leader of a Mexican cartel like luchador stable. The leader, ultimately, being revealed as El Hijo Del Fantasma. Despite Fantasma also recently being victim to an attempted kidnapping, this was merely done to throw the audience off the scent.
The antithesis of the Lucha House Party will take NXT by storm. Led by Fantasma, the cartel will viciously be putting out hits on the stars of Full Sail in order to get ahead. Fans of Lucha Underground will know that Fantasma can work a brutal, hard hitting, heel style from his work as King Cuerno. He will work great as a cunning mob boss and the gimmick as a whole will bring an interesting dark side unseen before in WWE.
Expect this new stable to be running roughshod over the NXT roster by New Year.
