The entire professional wrestling industry probably wants us to all forget about Victory Road 2011. It’s something that should have killed Jeff Hardy’s career forever. TNA gave him another chance after ruining a pay-per-view, and it’s paid off for them, but you couldn’t have blamed them if they simply never wanted anything to do with them again.

Jeff Hardy was set to battle Sting in the final match at Victory Road, but Jeff was strung out on something. He could barely walk to the ring, and a quick call had to be made. Eric Bischoff came out to alert Sting what was going on. Any sort of match would have been incredibly dangerous to both wrestler's well-being, and would have further embarrassed the company.

The call was made on the spot for Sting to hit his finisher on Jeff, and then legitimately hold him down so he couldn’t kick out. A pay-per-view main event was ruined by drugs. It remains not only Jeff’s most regrettable incident, but perhaps TNA’s worst moment ever.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
