10. Triple H Night Of Champions Twist
Triple H's name has been repeatedly implicated in the Rollins / Sting narrative, which points to some sort of Triple H twist at Night Of Champions. What could be in the works is Triple H 'inadvertently' costing Rollins the title. It should also be noted, Rollins would lose the US Title to Cena at the start of the show, in order to wrap up that narrative. As for the main event finish, it would be Sting with Rollins in the scorpion death lock, so Hunter shows up to come out and help his student. He pulls the referee out of the ring, knocking him out with a punch. He then goes under the ring and pulls out his sledgehammer, before going into the ring. Sting then breaks the hold and squares up to Triple H, challenging him to try and hit him with the sledgehammer. In the meanwhile, behind Sting's back, Rollins is getting to his feet. Hunter swings for Sting, but the WCW Icon ducks, causing the wayward shot to inadvertently knock out Rollins who has just came behind Sting. Sting then hits the Scorpion Death Drop on Triple H, and covers Rollins. A new referee runs out and makes the three count, crowning Sting WWE Champion, and leaving Rollins and Triple H arguing as the show goes off air.
