10 Things To Take Away From WWE NXT Takeover: Rival

7. Murphy And Blake Utilize The Blind Tag To Perfection Again, Retains Tag Titles

Two weeks ago, the improbable happened when Murphy and Blake defeated the Lucha Dragons to win the NXT Tag Team Championship. It was a pretty big upset as Murphy and Blake are still young and trying to find themselves as a team, along with trying to find their personality. It was such a great story that garnered a nice pop from the NXT Universe because these guys work their ass off day after day, and it's paid off with the run they're receiving. Kalisto and Sin Cara exercised their rematch clause for the tag titles here at Rival. For the most part in the match, the more experienced Lucha Dragons were in control, and it definitely seemed like the improbable title reign of Blake and Murphy would have been a flash in the pan. After a flurry of pin combinations by Kalisto and Murphy, their respective partners break-up the attempts that leads to a hot tag. For the second match in a row, Blake and Murphy utilized a blind tag that the Luchas are unaware of that led to the young guns to retain.
